Kelsey - Assistant Hospital Manager
Kelsey is a native of Ohio where she spent most of her childhood and moved to Florida to obtain her BA in Psychology due to her interest in behavioral science.
She graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2010 and began working at a marine mammal park in the Florida Keys. While there, she worked with various tropical fish, reptiles, and marine mammals and enjoyed getting to understand human-animal communication. Her passion in the field was focused on animal husbandry training, enrichment, and guest education.
She and her husband met while training the same dolphins, Skipper and Toby, who stole their hearts and were quite the matchmakers. After relocating to Wilmington in 2018, her curiosity in veterinary medicine led her to obtain a position as a veterinary assistant which she held before moving into management.
Kelsey has 2 dogs, a boxer named Chloe and a Shih Tzu named Sully. In August of 2019 Kelsey and her husband, Medardo welcomed a dreamy baby boy, Leo. Outside of work, her interests include traveling, scuba diving, running, staying up to date on space exploration, and quality family time.
